Gaining or reducing weight is NOT a result of the menopause.
It is due to three things:
The amount of calories we take. We take less and less exercise. We experience actual & psychological disruption.

You're obviously not in the menopause...
I am nearly 50 and am now menopausal. I've taken about 3kilos in the last 18 months since stopping menstruation. To try to combate this I've reduced calories, increased protein intake and upped my activity (will be running a 20k race on Sunday)... to no benefit.
And the weight is not due to increased muscle mass, as my body shape has also changed - evidenced by the new tightness of some clothes.

I eat a very balanced diet with fresh fruits and lean protein. I also ride my mountain bike for at least one hour and sometime 90 minutes, plus I am very limber from years of stretching, which I still do.
I use 12-15 lb weights, and my body does not seem to be responding to anything I do!
I am so frustrated because my clothes are looking and feeling tighter which is SO frustrating.
I come home soaked from my bike rides.

Dr. Oz has a breakfast of 2 hard boiled eggs with one cup of FRESH papaya, which I eat every single morning. I have a half of a chicken sandwich on a 12 grain bread for lunch, fresh fruit or some almonds for a snack and for dinner 2 veggies (steamed with lemon juice) and a lean protein of fish or chicken. (only a fist size)

I look so "boxy" now. My legs are not really fat, but they are no longer as toned and cellulite is very prevalent.
I do crunches 3 x's a week because I hate them.....I am going through the worst menopause. I have HOT FLASHES like nobody. I went to my OBGYN and she started me on some Mumvee estrogen pill that is doing NOTHING for the flashes.....I just sit and cry some days because I am not liking the way I look anymore.

Now I know why men leave their wives for a younger, leaner version. Who wants to be around a sweaty cow? I do not feel sexy any more no matter what a wear.
What can I do?

Ihave been having menopause for 7 yrs now, nothing helps, its misable. my girlish shape changed. tired of it , now I know why celeberties get lipo- , cause I can see no other way, and its embrassing.
